The word Hesed appears over 240 times in the Old Testament, yet it has no single English equivalent. Translators have rendered it as “lovingkindness,” “steadfast love,” “mercy,” “loyalty,” and “faithfulness” — and each captures only a piece of its meaning.
At its heart, Hesed is covenant love — the kind of love that does not depend on the worthiness of the recipient, but on the unbreakable commitment of the giver. It is the love that pursues us when we run, that restores us when we fall, that remains when every other love fades.
In this teaching, we explore three dimensions of God’s Hesed and how walking in this covenant love transforms how we relate to God, to one another, and to a broken world. When we begin to grasp the depth of God’s steadfast love for us, our worship deepens, our service becomes joy, and our witness carries the weight of the gospel.
This is the love that founded Hesed Impact Ministries. This is the love we carry to the nations.
